Citizens' forum on non-smoker protection
A randomly selected Citizens' Forum on non-smoker protection is soon to take place in Baden-Württemberg. The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration has commissioned the Baden-Württemberg Service Centre for Dialogue-based Citizen Participation to carry out a dialogue-based citizen participation process for the revision of the state's Non-Smoker Protection Act.
An online consultation has already taken place on the topic of non-smoker protection. A total of 774 comments and more than 37,000 ratings were received on the state's participation portal. The questions for the online participation were: Which topics are missing from the topic map? What do we need to add? The list of possible experts for the citizens' forum could also be supplemented and commented on.
The topics map, which was updated following the online participation, and the list of possible experts have been submitted to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration. The Ministry of Social Affairs is now preparing a draft bill. The consultation draft will then be finalised and submitted to the Council of Ministers. This will then form the basis for the discussions in the Citizens' Forum.
